Rani Mukherjee not ready for bigger responsibilities

No, we aren’t talking about her marriage
Rani Mukherjee is content doing what she knows best - acting. While her contemporaries are venturing into other fields like film production, direction or buying a stake in IPL teams, Rani isn’t yet ready to take up more responsibilities. Well, so she says.

Rani, who plays a cricket buff in her latest movie Dil Bole Hadippa, shot down the suggestion that she plans to buy a share in one of the IPL teams, like the other actresses, namely Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta and Juhi Chawla.

“I don't have so much money. There is no chance that I can buy an IPL team…Right now I don't even think that I can take up so much responsibility because everything of that sort means more responsibilities. I am quite happy doing what I am doing right now,” Rani told a news agency.

Forget IPL, Rani isn’t even interested in stepping into film production or direction.

“Again with production comes a very big responsibility and so is with direction and I don't think I am ready for that as of now,” she is quoted as saying.

The actress added that what truly excites her is the challenge of playing different roles in films.

“I have always done different things. I've done a Black that somebody would think twice before doing and now this (Dil Bole Hadippa)... I take up challenging roles as that really excites me as an actor,” Rani said.

Presently, Rani is looking forward to the Durga Puja celebrations.

“I am just hoping I can have a great time with my family and celebrate Durga Puja as I used to celebrate it as a kid. This time luckily I have kept no commitments during that time,” said the Bengali beauty.
