Saved Me Miley Cyrus Jesus Miley Cyrus has never been shy about her religion or her faith. However, she has never gone out on a limb and discussed it as openly as she has in recent days. She has often described herself as “deeply religious” and refers to her faith throughout all of her interviews. She said recently that she “does not define her faith by going to church every Sunday.” She went on to say that she felt as if she was a distraction when she went to church, because she was constantly followed by photographers and paparazzi. Cyrus, is apparently spiritual in her own ways and is more private in her worship of the Christian God.“Let me make it clear, though, I am Christian,” she had said when one photographer raised questions about what faith she was. “Jesus is who saved me. He’s what keeps me full and whole,” she had said. Cyrus has never made it any secret, but has often avoided talking about the particulars of her beliefs, which is probably a good choice on her part. Celebrities who speak too openly about their belief and faith in their religion often end up alienating themselves from parts of their fan base.

Cyrus has also stated in recent interviews that she can not wait to be done with playing Hannah Montana on her television series. She had said “Just as I’ve grown into it, I’ve grown out of it,” also hinting toward the fact that because she plays the popular character on The Disney Channel, she is expected to maintain a certain life style that fits the image the television station is going for. It is unclear at this point what the future plans of Miley’s are, and if she will be returning to TV or pursuing other options.
