Injured Siddle to return to Australia

Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle will return from India after experiencing left side stiffness after yesterday’s match.
Siddle bowled five overs during Australia's victory and was not required to bowl again.

Cricket Australia physiotherapist Kevin Sims said,"Peter's injury does not appear to be a serious problem but it is unlikely he will be able to safely bowl within the next week which would therefore not allow him to have any further participation in the tour.

"With this in mind we have made the decision that Peter will return to Australia where he will reviewed by Cricket Australia medical staff to ensure he is available for selection at the beginning of the Australian summer."

Cricket Australia's National Selection Panel are currently discussing the possibility of a replacement player joining the squad with an announcement to be made in due course.

Three other Australians have already suffered injuries during the tour.

Hopes damaged his right hamstring during the first ODI at Vadodara and returned to Brisbane to continue his recovery.

Brett Lee's elbow injury ruled him out of the series last week and wicketkeeper Tim Paine broke a finger in the second match in Nagpur.

The series is currently tied 2-2 and the fifth match is scheduled on Thursday in Hyderabad.
